This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.puzzlemix.com. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It is to notify you of the following:
- What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
- What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We (Brained Up Ltd) are the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or by using the site. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfil any request you directly make e.g. to complete a purchase transaction for subscription or other puzzle content.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via firstname.lastname@example.org:
- See what data we have about you, if any
- Change/correct any data we have about you
- Have us delete any data we have about you
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit information via the website, your information is encrypted via SSL and then stored on our secure server, which only we and our internet service provider have access to. You can verify that your data is encrypted before transmission by looking for the lock icon in your web browser, and/or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page. Our server is stored in a secure environment in the UK, and all data is stored directly on the server.
We never collect your credit card information. All payment processes are handled externally to our site, e.g. by PayPal, and we only receive notification as to the success or failure of a transaction. That information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.
We also protect your information offline. Only those who need access to your site records to perform a specific task (e.g. customer service) can access any of your information beyond that which is publicly available.
The only publicly available information is your username, which is never linked to or displayed alongside any information other than your solving statistics for puzzles you attempt. You can make your solving times private by clicking 'Edit user' at the top of this page and checking the 'Don't show my username in the puzzle solving performance tables' option. After you do this then your username will never appear publicly on the site unless you comment on a puzzle or a discussion topic. If you comment, whether or not you have set your performance table solving times to private, your username will appear alongside your comment, and for puzzles your solving statistics for that puzzle will also appear. You may delete your comment at any time if you do not wish this information to continue to be displayed.
We do not store any personally identifiable information about you until you have completed the user registration form. During registration you are asked to choose a username and password, and provide an email address. We store no further information except as a direct result of your interactions with the site - e.g. if you play a puzzle then we store your puzzle play status, and if you purchase a subscription we store the purchase confirmation details sent to us by PayPal.
If you choose to post a comment to the site, it will be immediately visible to all visitors. You can delete it instantly at any time by using the "Delete" link that will appear if you are logged in. You can also choose to be immediately notified via email of any response to your public posting by visiting www.puzzlemix.com/edituser.php and editing your "Email options".
