I enjoy these Wraparounds and thinking we had had several of these recently I looked them up and was surprised to find them listed under Toroidal. I always thought Toroidals, being a definite pattern, were a subset of Wraparounds?? Anyway we have had a number recently and am always pleased to see them, this being no exception:)

Unlike Elisabeth I don't really enjoy Wraparounds or Toroidals. They take ages but they're really just a matter of elimination which is why I put this as moderate despite taking so long over it.

Elisabeth, you're right - the toroidal puzzles are a subset of wraparound ones. But when I first made the site, I only had toroidal ones and then I never changed the terminology afterwards. I guess that's something I should change when I eventually have time to rewrite the site. :)

Understood, Gareth!

I am not particularly keen on the actual Toroidal puzzles either, Penelope, although I don't know why. Both types take longer and the filling in is rather arduous, followed by elimination process until something emerges. But I find this is true of many of the puzzles!!

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
