And this is only number 2!! Very satisfying to solve, but a number of problems on the way.

Glad to see someone else in column 1, carlotes! Thank you, I am not a speed solver but do like to try to do the puzzles without aids. It is far more rewarding. Have now done about 90 of them and some require leaving them open and coming back later:) Hope to see you there! I do wonder when people rank a puzzle as 'easy' why they have need to use the aids???

P.S. I had to google your final comment , I'm no use with other languages!!

When I started "puzzlemix" always did it with aid. But I always looked to "Elisabeth" ranking "without any help". And I thought "I'll do the same." The truth is that it's rewarding, it takes the time it takes. I am Spanish and I have written this with the help of Google translator. A very affectionate greeting, Elisabeth.

Delighted you now try puzzles without the aid, carlotes. Although sometimes when things go badly wrong I do resort to them, there being some days when nothing goes right!! But it is much more satisfying to solve without them, although it does slow one down I find. I shall look to see how you are doing now:)

Your English is lots better than my Spanish.

Penelope Daily subscriber Rated puzzle: Moderate Completion time: 1:54 Used 'check puzzle' when incorrect
Something went wrong here. It took a lot longer than 1.54 to solve the puzzle but I lost it part way through due to the poor internet connection, which might account for it.

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
