Sigh. The last couple of days have had a Killer, a Killer-X, and Killer Jigsaw!!! Love it!

Except they're all 6x6, which I really don't enjoy. Are the 6x6s really that popular?

I enjoy 6x6s, when they all show up on the same day.

I will suffer when I finally make it to the puzzles of August.

Aug 10th:
a) Killer Sudoku b) Killer Sudoku-X c) Jisaw Killer

Aug 12th:
a) Killer Pro Zero, b) Killer Sudoku, c) Killer Sudoku-X

Aug 16th
a) Killer Pro Zero, b) Jigsaw-Killer-X, c) Killer Sudoku

Each time three 9x9 on the same day.

At least on the 10th of August there will be also a 9x9 Toroidal and an 9x9-Odd Pair to cool down,
and for the 12th there is a fiendish 12x12 Sudoku-X and a 9x9 Kropki Sudoku to go with it.

Are the 9x9s really that popular?

It adds up like this: there is a randomizer assigning the puzzles for each day, gareth said once, it avoids the same puzzle type on consecutive days - but it fails to be random, when some puzzles are out of supply

Currently, Wraparound Sudokus are out of stock.

The last 12x12 appeared on July 25th, we recently had lots of them, because....

the last 6x6 came out on April 6nd, those had more weight in the randomizer than the 12x12, but less than....

the last 9x9 showed up on September 26th 2025

Currently there are only Toroidals left in the Wraparound rotation (I really like those, because I have a good chance to be fastest, but with Wraparounds in stock they only appear every 10th time or so)

Talking about Wraparound Sudokus:
does anybody know about the famous three, Elisabeth, Carlotes and Penelope?

Key

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
