How to play Jigsaw Sudoku

The rules of Jigsaw Sudoku are similar to standard Sudoku, since you must place each of the numbers 1 to 9 (or 1 to whatever the size of the puzzle is) into each of the rows and columns. However whereas standard Sudoku also has rectangular boxes that must each contain every number, in Jigsaw Sudoku these boxes are replaced by different bold-lined shapes that must each contain every number instead.

In different-sized puzzles, place for example 1 to 6 into each region in 6x6 puzzles, and 1 to 9 and A to C into each region in 12x12 puzzles.

On puzzlemix each of these shapes is coloured a different shade so that you can see them clearly:

As an example of how these different-shaped region shapes work, look at the yellow shape in the middle. There are only two places a '4' can fit, as marked. Similarly in the light blue cyan shape on the right there are only two places a '3' can fit.

Continue to solve the puzzle using regular Sudoku logic, to reach the final result. When the puzzle is fully-solved you will have 1 to 9 in each row, column and bold-lined/coloured box as shown here:
