I just realized recently that you can click-and-hold (and drag) on this puzzle type. Works for right and left mouse clicks. So much faster and easier! Not that my time shows it...made a poor guess early on (probably before I really needed to start the trial-n-error process) and had a lot of undo's to do to fix it.

A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
