stp8888 Rated puzzle: Moderate Completion time: 50:23 Used 'show wrong moves'
After a certain stage in the puzzle, it became just a guessing game, there was no logical way to proceed anymore.

It might feel like that, but there really is always a clean step-by-step solving method. It can be hard to find, though, as in this puzzle!

I liked it very much - the right balance between hard and doable :-)

Agree with Gareth, it was possible to do by logic, sometimes hard to spot though.

It has a lot of the "not so obvious" methods in it...

like a row or a column of
w < x < y > z

where y has to be at least 4.

and my "favorite" (that I miss a lot) where you have to spot two cells with two pencilled numbers that don't appear in any other cells in that same row/column - so you can delete the other pencil numbers in those two cells - leading to one of those deleted numbers without duplicats.

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
