vsrawat Rated puzzle: Moderate Completion time: 1:05:41 Used 'check puzzle' when incorrect
At this site, diagonal (X) aspect is not clear enough, its red color gets subdued in other colors and we fail to notice it. I proceeded all the way and solved a long way, but then I was stuck with perfectly matched pairs with no further clues, so I thought from your mind, and then I noticed that it is diagonal one, then I solved in a jiffy. Please give a thought to make X diagonal color prominent so that it just cannot be overlooked. Thanks.

Hi vsrawat,
Thanks for your comment. I hadn’t ever thought about the fact that it might be harder to see if you’re colourblind. When I rebuild the site at some point in the next couple of years this is something I’ll think about further. Thanks for pointing it out!

I didn't get the colourblind aspect of this request - but I know that I missed the X in one previous puzzle, too, even though the name of the puzzle mentions it clearly....

@gareth: instead of announcing a thought for change in the far feauture (measured in years?), why not quickly exchange the file https://www.puzzlemix.com/gfx/dithering.gif
with a different one that is a bit darker? (maybe gfx/ditheringdark.gif has to be changed as well in the process).

For the desktop version it might be a quick solution, no re-programming needed.

(I recently did a 12x12 jigsaw, and the two light yellows were adjacent and also both wrapped. That was hard to tell apart...)

Key

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
