Doing the usual I was stuck after just one black square. So I came to a conclusion what has to be white and then all fell into place. But that conclusion was not obvious. Did I miss something more obvious?

Elisabeth is right. If you hypothesise that the first or second 6 on the second row are white, then look at the top-right hand corner. The 3 has to be unshaded, but it can't 'escape' - as soon as the area expands to the 4 immediately next to it, it's trapped due to the 4s pinning it into the corner.

So those 6s have to be shaded. Then the rest is, essentially, trivial.

Thank you for your response - I can see that now. I tried to figure out what I at my first try concluded, but I don't know anymore... Sorry.
