Gareth, I'm sure I should know this but can you explain why when only 58 players are shown the ranking can be out of 116, please. Am I being very dense here?

I think there are two reasons: 1) You can play it while not logged in - at the end you don't get your time shown and that game will not be shown in the rankings. 2) You can start the game and not finish it, e.g. computer crash or closing the puzzle window. When starting again the counter goes up.
Merry Christmas!

I think the 116 (now 123) includes those who have not yet completed or have given up, the total played often being much more than those shown in the rankings, Penelope. Anyway a nice Christmas bonus for me in the positioning of you, carlotes and myself!! Happy Christmas to you both, also to Gareth and all puzzlers.

beginning was impossible, had to do trial and error for 579 in right-bottom set. Once cracked, it was a cakewalk from there. Good one.

Realised rather late that the digit 9 could only go in one place in penultimate column which set the puzzle going!:)
Thanks for the explanations and Happy Christmas everyone!

Errabee Rated puzzle: Easy Completion time: 5:27
vsrawat: beginning was easy: check out row 6 and 7, column 8 and 9. 1 black dot, 3 white dots. Only possibility is 3 and 6 in r6c8/9, 4 and 5 in r7c8/9 (Other option of 1 and 2 for the black dots can be easily dismissed, because then numbers 1-5 must be in c8r3-7, which would leave no possibility for the black dot in column 8). From there it was a piece of cake.

Interesting, Errabee, and similar to my way in, only I concentrated on column 8 seeing the consecutives had to include 579 and 9 could only be in one place. I wonder how many ways there are into this puzzle. Is there ever a puzzle with only one way in??

Key
A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
