No longer really able to see these larger puzzles; if you zoom in you don't get the whole line/column. Also difficult to find the digits that are wrong when using "show wrong moves"

Hi Elisabeth,

If you click 'HIDE PANEL' at the top of the player, it will fill the width of the window - although that may not help you if the height of the screen is limiting it. And (as you probably know) if you maximise the window (e.g. by double-clicking the title bar) it will fill the screen too. I do agree that zooming in on an Hitori puzzle is less useful than for most other puzzle types.

The font jumps slightly out of the box in Chrome when I press 'show wrong moves' since the font style changes more than it should. It's a long time since I tried that option in the Hitori player, and obviously Chrome is displaying it differently to how it once did. On the other hand, it's not a subtle change. It works as intended in Internet Explorer still.

Thanks Gareth

It is the height that is the problem; I always maximise the window so there isn't any way round the problem! Zooming is OK for the rows but hides part of the columns.

I usually use Firefox but will see if Explorer or Chrome show up wrong moves more clearly.

Key

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
