vsrawat Rated puzzle: Easy Completion time: 18:03 Used 'show wrong moves' Used 'check puzzle' when incorrect
I personally find these very boring kind of puzzles. No purpose really, these don't stimulate our brains to think about numbers. Anyway, no one's fault.

I find these make a change, vsrawat, and quite enjoy them. You still have to think logically and have a spacial sense. First time round I missed the first clue after doing all the initial moves. Slitherlink is much the same provided you can count to 4(!!!) and Skyscraper is only dealing with numbers in a rather basic fashion.

How challenging a puzzle is depends on the person. 1) You can either try to find the next logical step - and sometimes you just don't see it (that's me - in this puzzle I didn't find the clue or I even didn't know the trick that would have done it). 2) You can just enter the obvious numbers and the start trying and see if you run into contradictions (that method I dislike, but I had to do it in this puzzle...). Since puzzlemix provides a great undo feature and/or even different colors, you can even keep track of what you tried. 3) are there other types?

Then there is a king of puzzle in which you click to gray the cells, and then some pic emerges. what is the point? We are not painters. I don't like that either.
You are right that there is a sense of space required, and I don't have that, so I don't like these kind of thingy.
I got very distracted by skyscraper initially, I couldn't even start and gave up. I went ahead and did all available free puzzles on this site, then one day when getting bored, I tried skyscraper again, and I could solve it. I still don't like to think about multistories, I think just about a larger number "undermining" a smaller number, my interpretation.
I love only pure number puzzles.
Thanks. -- Rawat

Hi vsrawat ,
This is the reason I post 4 puzzles a day - not everyone enjoys every puzzle type, so by posting a variety each day you can find the ones you enjoy and just do those.
You can filter the display with the options on the sidebar to hide the puzzles you don't like.
The mixture of puzzles is the great thing about this site. At the moment my Go To puzzles are Hitori and Hanjie and Slitherlink is third, but that is only because I am short of time and look for the quick ones. I'm a mathematician by training but I love the Hanjie picture puzzles because you really do have to work out the logic and there is absolutely no point in cheating. Sometimes it has taken me a couple of weeks in fits and starts, and some I have never managed to solve. More of the same please, Gareth.

Key
A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
