Hi, You don’t need to guess - you can solve it using the same techniques as other puzzles on the site. To get an idea for how tricky a puzzle is, however, your best bet is to check the average solve time. The higher it is, the harder the puzzle is.

No sir, At the end, all pending numbers are duly matched and we can't use any sudoku rule to find which number will go there. I think 3 times, after choosing one number at random, and eliminating that through, it still present another perfectly matched set.
Thanks.

The puzzle is solvable without guessing, just like all the puzzles on puzzlemix. Perhaps it uses a logical deduction you are not familiar with. The sudoku rules allowed are everything up to x-wing, and killer sudoku will require elimination of all candidates that cannot possibly be placed in a region.

It's fine. I solved it without guessing / trial and error. There are a limited combination of numbers possible per box. For many boxes only one combination. Identify all of those and you'll soon see the logic. Hope that helps.

A particularly useful ploy here was to remember the total in a 3x3 box is 45. Just filling in the possible digits in a region is not usually enough, except for the most straight forward puzzles:)

Key
A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
