I wanted to put in a comment on this but couldn't raise the space, was this because I gave up the puzzle?? I only tried this, unsuccessfully, as there were no 'proper' sudoku puzzles today:) I haven't got the hang of these at all.

No, it was because somehow I'd disabled that functionality - I think I must have done that by accident when I updated some other stuff recently. You can now comment on puzzles that don't already have comments again!

Thank you, Gareth, it is now working fine. Tried this type of puzzle again,( not done them before) and completed it with the help of 'show wrong'. I didn't find it very easy to spot when show wrong was indicated, particularly with the 7s, but perhaps I need to get used to them.
