Is anyone else having the puzzle displayed differently. I'm just getting weird little green boxes.

Sounds strange, Cathylowe. The code hasn't changed for many, many years but it's perfectly possible some particular browser is causing issues. Where are you seeing this, and where are the boxes?

This only started when I got the unsafe message. The boxes are where the symbols used to be. I took a screenshot but can't upload it. Can I send it to your email?

Which symbols? But sure - please send to gareth@puzzlemix.com. If the site loaded separate graphics then I'd suggest that some bad data got cached, but it actually doesn't - it's all self-contained in one file, so that sounds odd. Nonetheless, I would suggest going to the link below and then holding down CTRL and pressing the refresh button on a PC, or the CMD plus the refresh button on a Mac. On a mobile device, click the below, set the device to airplane mode, press the refresh button, then take it back off airplane mode, and refresh again [or if that fails, try turning off Wifi instead of switching to Airplane mode].

(The link is just to a player that won't open in a pop-up window, so you have a refresh button)

I have now, thanks. Oh, your browser is set not to display images for some reason, or it has decided they don't exist - but they do. That 'box' is the "Missing image" symbol in your browser. Instead, it's showing the alternative text that's there for screen readers, or sometimes shown if you hover over an image in a browser.

Usually, if images don't load for some reason, pressing CTRL+F5 / CMD+R should work. You could also clear your browser cache and reload the page. Otherwise, have you configured your browser not to show images? Or set up some sort of internet security that prevents images loading? I'm afraid the problem must be on your end, but as an easy way to try and fix it I would use a different browser and see if that works.

I think you would have to do this deliberately, so it's probably not the issue, but here's how to enable/disable site images in Chrome:
* Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Images and select/deselect "Don't allow sites to show images". Alternatively, you can directly navigate to chrome://settings/content/images and make the same selection.

It really, really looks like you have a stale cache, perhaps after the SSL error caused the image loads to fail. I suspect you have not successfully forced a refresh, so I would hammer the page reload button until it works. Hold down CTRL or CMD while you do so.

my guess is that this safe mode has decided not to load those 'dangerous pictures' on your site, because they went rogue after a bad certificate...

It's annoying the certificate briefly stopped working. The company who provided the certificates went out of business!

Thanks Gareth, all sorted. The images were blocked, probably after the certifixate was stopped. I just followed your instructions and I am BACK! Now we just need regular hanjie lol

So glad it's working again - and yes! :)
