5-grid Samurai Sudoku Samurai Sudoku takes the beautifully-constrained logic of a Sudoku puzzle and makes it larger without making it ridiculously complex. Instead of increasing the number of possible digits in a puzzle, in a Samurai Sudoku an arrangement of multiple grids is overlaid - and then all must be solved simultaneously in order to complete the puzzle.
The aim is simple: place the digits 1 to 9 into every row, column and bold-lined 3x3 box of each of the underlying regular 9x9 Sudoku grids.
An infinite variety of grid arrangements is possible, and the puzzles need not be 9x9 - take a look at the bar on the right-hand side, and see the Samurai Variety page for some other options.
There is only ever one solution, and guessing is never required.
