sylvial Daily subscriber Rated puzzle: Easy Completion time: 2:12 Used 'check puzzle' when incorrect
My result was shown in the columns for those who had more than minor assistance when in fact all I'd done was click on check solution once, to find I'd one number wrong. I immediately saw which figure it was and corrected it without using any other aid. Does the algorithm need checking?
If you use check solution and have a wrong answer, it puts you in the used an aid column. Check wrong only leaves you in the no aids if you had nothing wrong in your solution :)

I think you can have 'check solution when wrong' and still remain in first column according to the info below the rankings. I have done this many times. No doubt Gareth can arbitrate, we haven't heard much from him recently he's probably on holiday (hope so!) Thanks for your explanation elsewhere LilSquiggle

Not on holiday - busy 24/7 running the World Sudoku Championship and the World Puzzle Championship - see eg here.
If you check and are wrong twice you go in the right-hand column.
Congratulations Mr. Gareth. Sure have been exciting days. But please note that we are not Kota Morinishi...

You sound busy, Gareth, but expect you enjoy it all. I googled Kota Morinishi so now know who he is! Perhaps a holiday is waiting in the wings?:)
sylvial, accordingly you should still be in the first column....... I have done this only to be told I've clicked twice by mistake which of course records a second attempt; some we win some we don't!:)

Key
A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
