I was wondering why I was so stupid at these puzzles until I weant back and re-read the rules - apparently I missed the whole "no 2x2 shaded area" bit...wow, that makes a difference! Ha!

Oh dear! Yes, it's a key rule! ;) In particular with most of the puzzles I've published so far you really need to make use of it to have a chance at all.

In an ideal world the Nurikabe player would highlight mistakes and explain them, but for now I'm afraid the instructions pages will have to suffice. :)
